International Pen Pal Program
We connect kids around the world through wildlife projects—making them pen pals, opening their eyes to the world, and turning them into agents for change.
Friends Across Borders
Through our Friends Across Borders program, we connect kids from around the world through a shared love of wildlife, nature, and conservation. Participants become pen pals, exchange ideas, learn about different cultures, and discover how young people everywhere can make a positive impact on the planet.
We believe that meaningful friendships can change the way children see the world. By connecting across borders, kids expand their understanding of different cultures, develop empathy and curiosity, and gain confidence as global citizens. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders while showing that friendship, compassion, and a love for wildlife can unite us all.

Success Story
San Diego Meets San José
We assisted in connecting over 50 youth in a Kids Saving Critters Satellite group in San Diego, California to a group of kids in another Satellite group in San José, Costa Rica.
The groups exchanged postcards introducing themselves—sharing their age, their favorite local animals, and what they like to do for fun. Simple exchanges with a big impact.
Through letters, maps, and stories about local wildlife, kids on both sides discovered a wider world and found that the kids on the other side aren’t so different from themselves.
